The AUTOBACS JEGT GRAND PRIX 2021 Series ( hereafter, JEGT ), the largest e-motorsports competition in Japan, will finally be held, organized by NGM Corporation and sponsored by Autobacs Seven Co.
A competition with a total prize money of 5 million yen will be held!
JEGT will feature a TEAM BATTLE (team competition ) among professional racing teams, automotive-related companies, and professional gaming teams, as well as the "JEGT Drivers Selection (JDS)," a unique JEGT certification test, to select the nation's top-level e-racer "JEGT Drivers" who have passed the test . The other is the INDIVIDUAL MATCH (individual competition ) by "JEGT Certified Drivers" who have passed JEGT's original certification test, "JEGT Drivers Selection (JDS)".
TEAM BATTLE!
The TEAM BATTLE will be held with a total of 19 teams, including 13 teams that participated in the previous year's event and 6 new teams. Please check the official JEGT website for the team members.
The top 10 teams in the TEAM BATTLE with the most points earned in the three preliminary rounds will advance to the Grand Final scheduled to be held in January 2022.
Each race will be broadcast live on YouTube andTwitter Live.
Manabu Suzuki," known as "Manapi" since the first JEGT, " MC ALEE," who is active as a sports MC, will provide commentary for the live broadcast. The commentary will be provided by professional racing driver " Nobuteru Taniguchi," who has a number of brilliant achievements in various motor sports categories, as well as JEGT certified driver " Yuichiro Matsumoto.

Change in the format of TEAM BATTLE
The first qualifying round of the TEAM BATTLE scheduled for October 2 (Sat ) was originally announced to be held in a semi-offline (no audience) format at the REDEE e-sports facility in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture, but due to the spread of the new coronavirus, it will now be held in an online format. INDIVIDUAL MATCH!
The INDIVIDUAL MATCH is entered by 39 of the nation's most talented JEGT-certified drivers.
Of the three qualifying rounds, 24 drivers will be selected based on the effective point system of the top two rounds. The field will be further narrowed down to 10 in the subsequent semi-finals, and the grand finals will be held during an exhibition competition scheduled to be held in February 2022.
All qualifying rounds of the INDIVIDUAL MATCH will be held in closed format, and digest videos and race reports will be provided on the official JEGT website and other sites at a later date.
