Special Class Held for Middle School Students, Inviting Kiryu!

Taiyo Holdings is actively working to create learning opportunities for students, based on the desire to "convey the importance of enjoying the challenge to young people in their teens who will be successful in the future."
As part of this activity, following the special class with Judoka Hifumi Abe held in June 2025, this time they invited track and field athlete Kiryu to conduct a special class for students from Sugaya Junior High School, Tamanooka Junior High School, and Otsuma Ranzan Junior High School in Ranzan Town, Hiki District, Saitama Prefecture.

In the special class, after a greeting from Ranzan Town Mayor Takamitsu Sakuma, Kiryu appeared!
He received many cheers from the middle school students gathered there.
In his lecture, he reflected on his own dream when he was a middle school student, and he told the students how to find a dream.
When I was in the third grade, I wanted to become a track and field athlete and compete in the Olympics.
What you enjoy and what you like can lead to your dream.

The students appeared to be listening intently to the words of Kiryu, who actually achieved his dream.

In the second half, Kiryu answered questions from the students.
To a student's question, "What do you do when your efforts don't pay off, or when you feel burned out?" he replied:
If you only have one goal, you will burn out when you achieve it.
I write down many goals and dreams and continue to strive toward them.

At the end of the special class, a student presented words of appreciation, saying, "We will continue to support Kiryu as he competes on the world stage," and Kiryu gave an encouraging message to the students, saying, "Please try challenging various things from now on."
It was a valuable time for the middle school students to learn the importance of not giving up and enjoying challenges directly from an athlete who is active on the world stage.
