Although about two weeks have passed since Tokyo Game Show 2024 (TGS 2024), the excitement has not yet cooled down.
On the contrary, many vivid memories remain as if it were yesterday. Among them, we will deliver a report on the ASUS ROG booth, which, following last year, set up a considerably large booth among device manufacturers!
The ROG Booth Was Full of ROG

Saiga NAKThe ROG booth was full of ROG.
While you might think, "Obviously, it’s there booth." most companies' booths tend to focus on one or two product genres, but ROG had everything from PCs and PC peripherals to motherboards and more—all ROG!
The Mobile Gaming PC: ROG Ally X
Saiga NAKThis was a hands-on experience for the ROG Ally X, the successor to the ROG Ally.
Even though the ROG Ally was just released last year, a successor is being released in just one year. ROG, you're living too fast... my wallet is screaming.
Saiga NAKVarious game titles were available for trial, loudly showcasing that "with an Ally, you can comfortably play any game!"
When You Think of Gaming Smartphones, You Think of ROG Phone!
Saiga NAKThis was the exhibition area for the gaming smartphone ROG Phone.
With a game controller attached, you can easily play popular smartphone games, and even AAA titles via remote play.
A Super Strong Gaming Wi-Fi Router!
Saiga NAKOn display was the gaming Wi-Fi router ROG Rapture GT-BE98, which supports Wi-Fi 7 and has advanced VPN functions.
The interior was exposed, which made me impressed by its surprisingly simple structure.
This router is perfect for high-speed internet, with dual 10Gbps ports and quad 2.5Gbps ports.
If you use it, you'll see that you can easily get 1Gbps even over Wi-Fi.
However, the price is about 140,000 yen...! Yet, despite such a high price, it's already too popular to get.
Oh, and of course, it lights up.
And Gaming Laptops, Too
Saiga NAKROG's gaming laptops are also highly regarded.
You might be one of those who thinks, "Honestly, how good is gaming on a laptop?"
While it certainly depends on the specs of each PC, they can be used not only for mobile purposes but also for saving space, such as using a high-spec desktop PC for gaming and an affordable gaming laptop for streaming.
(We at Saiga NAK also stream with a self-built PC + an ROG laptop.)
Graphics Cards Are Also ROG!
Saiga NAKThe ROG brand is also very popular for graphics cards. Above all, they look cool.
They are something that every gamer who cares about even the parts you can't see would want.
Saiga NAKNext to the graphics card was also an ROG NUC! I really want one... but they're so popular that they're hard to buy...
Saiga NAKBy the way, the pronunciation of NUC is "Nuck," not "Nook."
As a Japanese, I always find myself saying "Nook."
Full of Motherboards!
Saiga NAKAs ASUS fans probably know, ASUS has the #1 market share for motherboards in the world.
Saiga NAKMotherboards used to be out of sight in traditional PC cases, but with the recent emergence of glass panels, their design has also become important.
ROG's motherboards are like works of art; you'd want to just display them.
A Gaming Environment Full of ROG
Saiga NAKLet's experience a full ROG environment.
Saiga NAKThe keyboard and mouse are also ROG.
Saiga NAKThe microphone is also ROG. ROG had released headsets before, but since a microphone had not appeared for a while, I was happy.
And that white one is cute.
Saiga NAKThe PC case and motherboard are also ROG.
The Talk-of-the-Town AR Glasses: AirVision M1 Glasses
Saiga NAKOh, a gadget I don't recognize. Glasses? Sunglasses?
Saiga NAKReika: "Am I right?"
Saiga NAKThese are actually AR glasses.
The game screen you're playing appears right in front of you in reality.
Saiga NAKReika: "Whoa! They're there!"
Saiga NAKEven though the game screen is on your hands...
it's displayed right in front of you, so your gaze is directed straight ahead, not at the gaming PC.
For those who don't know what's happening, it must be a weird scene.
The ROG Booth Was a Huge Success Again This Year! Here's an Online Booth Report!
That concludes the ROG booth report! The online booth report from the day is available on the official ROG Japan YouTube channel, so if you couldn't attend, be sure to check it out!
I wanted to experience each product group more, but a "2024 Autumn/Winter New Monitor Product Preview" was held a few days later, so I went and enjoyed that instead.
