Hello, my name is Kau Toriumi. Thank you for the wonderful award you gave me last time! Thanks to everyone's support, I was able to win again. I am very, very happy. Some of you picked up COSPLAY MODE for the first time since it appeared in the magazine last time, and I am doubly happy that you have become more familiar with cosplay! I will continue to put effort into my activities with the help of everyone, so please continue to support me~!
Runner-up Kinako Mochi
Thank you very much for the 2nd place award. I have only been with Curecos for a short time, but I am happy to have won this prize. Thanks to the people who supported us, we were able to win this prize. I really appreciate it. I am also very happy that the judges were able to catch the attention of the judges, and I thank you very much for that. Since this year's contest was based on the Valentine motif, I chose to post photos of characters I would like to give chocolates to on Valentine's Day, expressions that my guesses would give to people they love, and sweet photos that are appropriate for Valentine's Day. I hope I was able to bring you photos that made you grin, even if only a little. My goal and aim is to make characters manifest in three dimensions through cosplay and to impress someone. It is my dream to get a job as an official cosplayer for games and anime, so I will continue to improve my quality and push forward. Once again, I would like to thank everyone who supported me and the judges. I hope you will continue to support Kinakomochi in the future!
Second Runner-up: Hitomin
Thank you for placing 3rd in Curecos Valentine's Day 2023! I was aiming for 1st place, but I'm still frustrated that I haven't reached the top yet. I hope to do my best so that I can win first place someday. I really appreciate all the people who always support me. I hope you continue to enjoy looking at my cosplay photos.
4th Chino Haruna
Hello, nice to meet you! My name is Chino Haruna. My name is Nino Haruna, and thank you very much for awarding me a prize in the Curecos Valentine 2023 competition. I never thought I would be able to win a prize, so I am filled with gratitude to all those who supported me...! The photos I entered in this contest were taken after much discussion between myself, a cosplay novice, and a camera novice friend, so I am very happy to have the opportunity to have them seen by so many people. Encouraged by this award, I hope to continue to enjoy cosplay in the future! Thank you very much for this opportunity!
Nice to meet you, my name is Chiaki. Thank you very much for winning the 5th place in the contest! I was involved in a major Twitter freeze at the beginning of February, and I am currently appealing to have the freeze lifted. I had participated in a few contests in the past, but this was the first time in a long time, so I was nervous every time I posted... but I posted with the feeling of "look at the photos the photographer did a great job! But I posted the photos with a feeling of "look at the photos that the photographer took so beautifully! I think the photos caught everyone's attention and led to my winning the prize. I was very surprised and at the same time very happy when I received the award... Thank you for taking the time to support me! I hope to continue to enjoy my cosplay life! I would like to thank all the photographers, studios and event organizers who took wonderful photos, everyone who supported me, and the judges!
Comments from the judges have arrived!
Daimon Taro (@daimontaro), Editor in Chief of the cosplay magazine "COSPLAY MODE
Daimontaro launched the first issue of the cosplay magazine "COSPLAY MODE" in 2002. He has worked on many magazines including men's entertainment magazines and women's fashion magazines. He is currently the editor-in-chief of "VTuber mode," the president of Japan Maid Association, and a visiting professor at Kagawa Junior College.
Unlike Halloween and Christmas events, the Valentine's Day event has not yet been interpreted as a cosplay event. Brown costumes and wigs were the keynote, but many cosplayers added a bit of playful gore among them. Brown costumes can look fashionable, and many of the participants were able to add a fashionable touch to their cosplay. In the future, I would like to see more cosplay with a bitter taste in women's and men's costumes.
acosta! [acosta] Nishizawa (@acosta_info)
"You can take pictures! You can play! You can interact! is the concept behind acosta!, a cosplay event held in the Kanto and Kansai regions, as well as various other locations throughout Japan.
I was attracted by the photos that told a story of excitement and fun in the context of the theme of Valentine's Day. I appreciate those who are aware of not only the quality of their cosplay and photos, but also the emotions they evoke in the viewer and the dreams they present. I am sure that there will be many more entries in the future, and I am looking forward to seeing what kind of stories will be told.
