Held from Saturday, April 27, 2024, to Monday, April 29, 2024, EVO Japan 2024 stood as Japan's largest fighting game festival.
In addition to the many intense battles in the main tournament, there was a great deal of excitement with booth exhibitions from various companies, merchandise sales, and special events, fueled in part by the start of the Golden Week holidays.
At the SNK booth, X Gear Brook ET won the main tournament for THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV!
The SNK booth was quite lively, featuring a photo session with popular cosplayer Enako and popular model Aki.
Enako took a photo in that pose with Justin Wong and posted it to X, where it is currently going viral!
Now, when there are big events like this, there are bound to be big announcements.
The latest information on Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves, which also had its first playable demo at the SNK booth, has been released!

To Get the Dojo Sign Back! Marco Rodriguez Joins the Fray!

It has been confirmed that Marco Rodriguez will join the latest Fatal Fury series title, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves! Trailers have been released featuring both Japanese and English voices!
The Japanese voice actor is Kenichiro Matsuda, and the English voice actor is Earl Baylon.
Marco Rodriguez is a character who first appeared in the previous title, Garou: Mark of the Wolves.
He is a Kyokugen Karateka, the style used by Ryo Sakazaki and others in another SNK masterpiece, Art of Fighting.
A Kyokugen karateka whose hefty, hot-blooded nature has earned him a reputation for being a beast in battle.
With his dojo sign stolen by forces unknown, he has no choice but to hone his karate skills elsewhere in the interim—namely, at Yuri’s fitness club. Upon learning of a new KOF tournament on the horizon, Marco steels himself for what lies ahead: an opportunity to spread word about his beloved dojo, a chance to get its sign back, and (of course) a turbulent test of his Kyokugen Karate might.

Since Rock, Terry, Hotaru Futaba, and Tizoc will continue to appear from the previous title, it is recommended to play Garou: Mark of the Wolves before the new release!

Everyone who tried the demo of Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves at the SNK booth during EVO Japan 2024 likely felt that the gameplay feels completely new.
Because of that, playing Garou: Mark of the Wolves might not serve as a perfect mechanical preview, but it is a great way to get a feel for the world of Fatal Fury!
Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves is scheduled for release in early 2025!
