On August 25, 1994, the first installment of the KOF series, "THE KING OF FIGHTERS '94," was released on the MVS arcade system (for commercial Neo Geo). With one of the largest number of titles among fighting games, the KOF series has been loved by fans worldwide for a long time, spanning across decades, and celebrated its 30th anniversary on Sunday, August 25, 2024. SNK plans to continue taking on various challenges to meet the expectations of KOF fans.

30th Anniversary Special Website and Official X Account Launched!

To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the "THE KING OF FIGHTERS" series, the KOF 30th Anniversary Official Website and the KOF 30th Anniversary Official X Account (@KOFstudio_jp) have been launched. The special website plans to hold 30 commemorative projects, with Part 1 already featuring the release of development design materials from the KOF series, such as original character art, rough sketches, and costume drafts. The distribution of KOF series posters, digital stickers, and smartphone wallpapers is also planned.
