Update Ver. 1.8.0 for "Mario Kart World" is now available! Ten new tracks from "Super Mario Kart" have been added, and Spectator Mode has been implemented.

Nintendo has begun distributing update Ver. 1.8.0 for the Nintendo Switch 2 game " Mario Kart World."
This update adds new tracks from "Super Mario Kart," new routes for Survival mode, and a new spectator mode.

Free Update for "Mario Kart World" Now Available! 10 New Tracks Added, Including "Chocolate Town," "Vanilla Lake," and "Ghost Swamp"

Tracks from the original " Super Mario Kart " are now available in "Mario Kart World"!
You can race on them in "VS Race," "Time Attack," and "Online" modes.

The new tracks are as follows.

SFC Mario Circuit 1
SFC Mario Circuit 2
SFC Mario Circuit 3
SFC Haunted Swamp 1
SFC Haunted Swamp 2
SFC Haunted Swamp 3
SFC Chocolate Island 1
SFC Chocolate Island 2
SFC Vanilla Lake 1
SFC Nokonoko Beach 1

On these courses, just like in "Super Mario Kart," you can obtain items by driving over item panels.

New Survival modes—"Propeller Rally" and "Kabura Rally"—have been added.

Two new tracks—" Propeller Rally " and " Kabura Rally "—have been added to Survival mode.
You’ll be able to select these new tracks after clearing at least one rally in Survival mode.

"Propeller Rally" is a route connecting the Acorn Treehouse to the Killer Ship.

"Kaburary" is a route connecting DK Snow Mountain to the Hayhawker Carnival.
Survival routes are scheduled to be added gradually through future updates.

"Spectator Mode," which allows you to watch races and battles without participating, has been added.

" Spectator Mode " is now available during group play via "Internet" or "LAN Play."
While spectating, you can switch between players to watch and check the real-time, updated rankings at any time.

With this update, the maximum number of players in a group has increased to 26.
This allows for new ways to play, such as two players spectating a race with 24 participants.

New filters have been added to Photo Mode

When taking a photo from the " Camera " option in the Pose Menu, you can now apply new filters.

A feature update has also been implemented to make items such as the Boomerang visible.

Update Ver. 1.8.0 includes a change that makes items such as boomerangs, fireballs, and hammers visible.
In "Time Attack," lap times are now displayed.
