Featuring support for Vibrant Visuals, which significantly enhances visual fidelity, an upgrade path will also be provided for Switch players.

The Nintendo Switch 2 version of Minecraft is confirmed for release on Tuesday, October 27, 2026!
The Switch 2 version supports Vibrant Visuals, which was previously unsupported on the original Switch version.
The feature significantly boosts visual fidelity, delivering enhanced lighting and shadows.
All supported content in the Minecraft Marketplace will be playable with these enhanced visuals applied.
In addition, the Nintendo console-exclusive Super Mario Mash-Up pack has been updated to take advantage of Vibrant Visuals graphics.
It includes Mario-themed worlds, music, and skins.
Upgrade Path Provided for Switch Players
Mojang Studios will provide an upgrade path to the Switch 2 version for players who already own the Nintendo Switch version of Minecraft.
