The First Trailer for Monster Hunter Wilds Is Released

The latest footage for Monster Hunter Wilds, the newest entry in the Monster Hunter series which has sold a cumulative total of 100 million copies worldwide, has been released.
The video showcases fields that undergo constant changes, monsters that form herds to a degree not seen in previous series entries, and new hunter actions.

In Monster Hunter Wilds, the fields experience shifting climates and constant changes.
The living creatures have also evolved into ecosystems that adapt to these changes, and the same applies to people.

Even in the same spot on the same field, its appearance changes in an instant.
One moment it may be nurturing abundant life and nature, and the next it may become a harsh environment where hungry carnivorous monsters clash.
Hunters must adapt to these intensely shifting environments.

Windward Plains

The Windward Plains is the field that you will investigate first as a hunter.
Within the vast plains, it is composed of areas with different characteristics such as deserts, grasslands, and rocky areas.

In the Forbidden Lands, including the Windward Plains, you may even encounter herds of large monsters that were not seen in traditional Monster Hunter games!
Each one acts with a collective mindset as a herd.

Doshaguma

A fanged beast characterized by its powerful physique.
It has a strong sense of territory and may attack in herds.

Chatacabra

An amphibian species that strengthens itself by using adhesive saliva to attach ores and other materials to its forelegs.

Ceratonoth

The males use the developed dorsal horns on their backs to catch lightning strikes and protect nearby females from the lightning.
This is the monster that was also seen in the announcement trailer.

Dalthydon

Dalthydon are herbivorous reptiles that change their habitat depending on the season.
If they sense danger, they may take a defensive stance as a herd and counterattack.

Mount Seikret

The Seikret is a mount animal necessary for traveling across the vast fields.
If you specify a destination, it will automatically take you there by relying on its sense of smell.
You can use certain items even while moving, making your preparations for the hunt perfect!

Furthermore, the Seikret possesses a weapon sling for storing a second weapon that can be selected at will.
While equipment could be changed by returning to a base camp in recent works, being able to switch weapons during a hunt is a first for the Monster Hunter series!

Since it is a system that first appeared in Monster Hunter: World, it seems the worldviews are connected.
A new system called the Hook Slinger, which allows for gathering items or activating gimmicks from a distance, has also been added.
