While the Monster Hunter Now Celebration Quest 2024 is currently underway in Monster Hunter Now, details have been announced for the major update The Vernal Invader, scheduled for release on Thursday, March 14, 2024!
This is the second major update since Fulminations in the Frost in December 2023.

Additional Weapon Type Charge Blade

The technical weapon charge blade, which allows players to switch between a sword mode that offers many hits and the use of a shield, and an axe mode characterized by flashy actions, appears in Monster Hunter Now!
The SP skill "Super Amped Element Discharge" is one of the highest-power moves in the Monster Hunter series.

Three Types of Large Monsters Newly Added

The large monsters Odogaron, Tzitzi-Ya-Ku, and Deviljho join the fray as additional monsters!
Odogaron and Tzitzi-Ya-Ku will appear in the field after clearing the Urgent Quests within the newly added Story Quests.

New Element "Invasions"

The invasions system, which appeared in the main Monster Hunter series, is added to Monster Hunter Now!
When you attempt to hunt a large monster within unstable areas that randomly appear in the field's forest, desert, and swamp habitats, another monster may perform an invasion.
Furthermore, the additional monster Deviljho appears exclusively through these invasions!
The trauma of Deviljho arriving along with an unsettling atmosphere comes rushing back...

New Element "Layered Equipment"

The layered equipment system is newly added as a new element.
By using the layered equipment system, it is possible to change only the appearance to your favorite equipment while keeping the equipment's performance as it is.
It is stated that once you upgrade armor to Grade 6, you will be able to use the layered equipment for that armor.

Introduction of the Seasonal System and Start of the "Season Pass"

Following this update, a season system will be introduced to Monster Hunter Now.
A "Season Pass" will also appear for each season, which rotates at fixed intervals, allowing players to earn various rewards.
The "Season Pass" will offer a free Free Plan and a paid Premium Plan.

New Status Ailment "Bleeding"

The status ailment "bleeding," which occurs upon receiving attacks from Odogaron, is added.
A hunter in the bleeding state accumulates bleeding damage by performing attacks or evasions.
The next time an attack is received, the accumulated amount of bleeding damage becomes additional damage, draining the hunter's health.
Furthermore, it is stated that the bleeding state is cleared by not performing attacks or evasions for a certain period of time.
Multiplayer might be effective when hunting Odogaron.

Loadouts Increase to 10

The number of loadouts where equipment can be saved increases from 5 to 10.
Furthermore, this change was implemented ahead of the major update, and an increase in loadouts has been confirmed at the time of writing this article.

Monster Hunter Now Celebration Quest Vol. 2 Is Held

In the Monster Hunter Now Celebration Quest Vol. 2 commemorating the half-year anniversary of the Monster Hunter Now release, "Item Box Expansion +250" will be distributed for free, and you can also challenge a total of 16 quests where you can obtain "Zinogre Plates," "Wyvern Gem Shards," and "Beginner Weapon Tickets" that allow for immediate production of Grade 3 weapons.

The major spring update The Vernal Invader is scheduled for release at 12:00 AM UTC on Thursday, March 14, 2024.
