Nintendo Co., Ltd. announced the postponement of the Splatoon Koshien 2023 National Finals originally scheduled for Saturday, December 16 and Sunday, December 17, 2023, along with the cancellation of Nintendo Live 2024 TOKYO originally scheduled for Saturday, January 20 and Sunday, January 21, 2024.

Nintendo Co., Ltd. cancelled "Nintendo Live 2024 TOKYO," originally scheduled for Saturday, January 20 and Sunday, January 21, 2024, at Tokyo Big Sight.
Persistent threats directed at Nintendo employees led to the event's cancellation.
Because these threats also targeted attendees and staff of the Splatoon Koshien 2023 National Finals scheduled for Saturday, December 16 and Sunday, December 17, 2023, Nintendo decided to cancel and postpone the events.
Postponement of Splatoon Koshien 2023 National Finals and Other Events
Nintendo announced postponements for the Splatoon Koshien 2023 National Finals as well as tournaments scheduled for Nintendo Live 2024 TOKYO, including the following:
- Splatoon Koshien 2023 National Finals
- Splatoon 3 World Championship 2024
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe Online Challenge Final Stage
- Mario Kart 8 Deluxe World Championship 2024
Official notices regarding the cancellation and postponements appear on the official Nintendo Live 2024 TOKYO website and the official Splatoon Koshien 2023 website.
Nintendo has not yet determined rescheduled dates for the postponed events, but will publish updates on the official Nintendo website and official X (@Nintendo) once finalized.
