Sega Corporation announced the Japanese release of the smartphone and PC game, Persona 5: The Phantom X (P5X), at the Persona 5: The Phantom X announcement event held on Wednesday, September 25, 2024.
Alongside this announcement, an opening promotional video has been released, and a pre-registration campaign is currently active.

P5X Confirmed for Release in Japan! Opening Promotional Video Released!
P5X, which was previously distributed in China and South Korea, is finally confirmed for a Japanese release!
P5X is set in the world of Persona 5, where a new story unfolds.
The game is planned for release on iOS, Android, and PC, and while there are some in-app purchases, the base game is free to play.
Additionally, it is planned to support multi-platform play with cross-play enabled between smartphones and PC.
Opening Promotional Video Released!
Along with the announcement of the Japanese release, the opening promotional video for P5X has also been released!
The opening movie is about 1 minute and 40 seconds long, and the music once again features Lyn Inaizumi.
The opening movie features not only the new characters appearing in this game, but also the familiar Phantom Thieves of Hearts, including Joker, from Persona 5!

Story

Pre-Registration Reaches 50,000! Pre-Registration is Now Open
It was announced that pre-registration, which began on Thursday, September 25, 2024, has surpassed 50,000 registrations in just two days!
Given that over 50,000 pre-registrations have been achieved, 10 Gacha Tickets will be awarded..
Furthermore, if they surpass 100,000, 5 tickets usable for weapon gacha will be gifted.
The official announcement also says "and more..." so there might be additional rewards!

Closed Beta Recruitment Begins!
Recruitment for the P5X closed beta test is now open from Wednesday, September 25, 2024 to Sunday, October 6, 2024.
The conditions for participation are residing in Japan, actively participating in the test, and owning a smartphone or PC that meets the closed beta test's required operating environment.
The number of recruits is planned to be 3,000, and the implementation period is yet to be determined.
Also, the announcement of winners will be sent sequentially via email after the application deadline, so be careful not to miss it.

P5X is exhibiting at "Tokyo Game Show 2024," which is being held until Sunday, September 29, 2024!
