New Permanent Mode: Dual Front
Introducing a new 6v6 permanent game mode called "Dual Front."
In this mode, teams defend their own sector while trying to capture the enemy’s sector on a new map called “Zone.”
One unique feature is the ability to combine both Attackers and Defenders on the same team—something previously impossible in Rainbow Six Siege.
Players can also switch Operators upon respawn, making it accessible for both newcomers and veterans alike.
Note: Dual Front will only be available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Visual Upgrades and Object Additions to Classic Maps Like Clubhouse and Chalet
Rainbow Six Siege X introduces enhanced visuals for iconic maps, thanks to new lighting and shadow effects.
At launch, revamped versions of the following maps will be included:
- Clubhouse
- Chalet
- Border
- Bank
- Kafe
In addition, three maps will be updated or added with each new season.
To further deepen strategic gameplay, destructible objects like fire extinguishers, gas canisters, and metal detectors are being added.
These aren't just for show—they can become key tactical tools that disrupt enemy strategies.
Sprinting and Cornering Now Possible While Rappelling
Rainbow Six Siege X introduces a major overhaul to the rappelling system.
Players will now be able to sprint horizontally and turn corners while rappelling, offering greater mobility and flexibility.
Quieter Footsteps on Carpet, Real-Time Sound Reflection
Sound has always been one of the most critical aspects of Rainbow Six Siege.
With this update, directional audio will be more accurate than ever, and environmental factors—like being indoors or outdoors, room size, or surrounding objects—will dynamically alter how sounds are heard in real time, expanding tactical possibilities.
Real-Time Detection to Eliminate Cheaters
Rainbow Six Siege X will implement a new anti-cheat system called "R6 ShieldGuard."
Not only will it bolster existing anti-cheat measures, but it also allows for future security updates to be rolled out without scheduled maintenance.
Ubisoft aims to make tampering with the game extremely difficult and hopes to eradicate cheaters through unexpected updates delivered by ShieldGuard.
