STORY
Before United States agent Leon S. Kennedy could reach the village, someone had infiltrated it. Her mission was to retrieve the mysterious "Amber". What awaits her, however, is an unknown threat that threatens to consume her body, a bargain with Lewis, a man who struggles in the present, burdened with the sins of the past, and an unexpected reunion with Leon. Why did she accept this mission? What is the "path" she has chosen through the other mission that spins out behind the scenes of the kidnapping of the president's daughter?

The client who sent Ada, who has a bizarre obsession with biological weapons, to the village to retrieve Amber.
"Separate Ways" adds a number of knife and hookshot actions that make aiming and shooting fun, as well as the familiar parry action from "Resident Evil RE:4". Free update for "The Mercenaries" is now available!
The Mercenaries" Free Update
A free update of the free DLC "The Mercenaries" will be available on Thursday, September 21, 2023, at the same time as the release of "Separate Ways". Ada Wong and Albert Wesker will join the game as playable characters! The Mercenaries" can be downloaded for free if you own "Resident Evil RE:4", so if you haven't downloaded it yet, do so now!
"Resident Evil RE:4 VR Mode" will be available this winter!
Resident Evil RE:4 VR Mode" was announced in May 2023 and will be available this winter. "Resident EvilRE:4 VR Mode" is an additional DLC that will allow players to experience the entire story mode on PlayStation VR2 and will be available as free DLC.
