Nintendo released the latest footage for the Nintendo Switch software Rhythm Heaven Groove (Rhythm Paradise Groove in PAL regions) during Nintendo Direct 2026.6.9, streamed on Tuesday, June 9, 2026. As a completely new title in the Rhythm Heaven series, Nintendo will release it on Thursday, July 2, 2026.
Rhythm Heaven Groove Latest Footage Released!
Rhythm Heaven Groove is a rhythm game where players press buttons in time with the music and rhythm. Players grasp the rhythm by listening carefully to the sound and playing enthusiastically, as the rhythms are not just repetitions of the same patterns.
Single-player mode
The game includes over 80 types of new rhythm games, featuring unique characters and music. It also features plenty of bonus games.
Special Mode Beatspell
In the special mode Beatspell, which players unlock by progressing through the single-player rhythm games, players become wizards and cast spells with the power of rhythm to fight monsters. Each spell, such as attack magic and healing magic, has a specific rhythm pattern. Players decide which spell to unleash and at what timing; there is no single correct rhythm.
Multiplayer mode
With just one Nintendo Switch console and enough Joy-Cons for each player, up to four people can enjoy rhythm games. The mode includes over 30 types of rhythm games for co-op and competitive play, allowing groups to gather and casually enjoy games distinct from solo play. Furthermore, during gameplay, text-to-speech software calls out player names. Please note that this mode does not support local or online multiplayer.
