Riot Games announced today, May 22, 2020, that it will officially releaseVALORANT, a new tactical shooter game for PC, on Tuesday, June 2, 2020.
Originally developed as "Project A" and officially announced as "VALORANT" on March 2, 2020, the game underwent closed beta testing in April in select regions, including Europe and the United States, and expanded to South Korea and South America in May.
The game has exploded in popularity due to streaming and influencer influence, with Anna Donlon, executive producer of VALORANT at Riot Games, stating that the game averaged approximately 3 million players per day during the closed beta test.
The game has been in the news for some time now, and although a closed beta test was eagerly awaited in Japan, the game was officially released without a test!

The closed beta test being held prior to the official release on June 2, 2020 (Tuesday) will end on May 28, 2020 (Thursday).
All player accounts will be reset and all players will get a fresh start with the same conditions upon release.
New game content, new agents, new game modes, and new maps will be added at the official release.
In addition, to prepare for the growing number of players, the short-term roadmap prioritizes reducing latency and adding new game servers.
New server locations include Atlanta, Dallas, London, Madrid and Warsaw.
Are they really ready?
The official announcement of VALORANT, which is scheduled for release in the summer of 2020, was accompanied by the publication of an article on the official VALORANT website under the topic "05: Are we really ready for a release? " was also published at the same time as the official announcement.
As the release was earlier than planned, the article is mainly a supplemental explanation of the official release.
The article is a detailed description of what we learned during the closed beta period, the current status, and future developments.
