Riot Games LLC has launched Season 2026 // Act 4 for the tactical FPS " VALORANT," starting on Wednesday, June 24, 2026 (Japan Standard Time).

" Summit " is the site of the former Radiant Monastery, where Sage studied before joining VALORANT.
Summit is a 5v5 map set in the Radiant Training Academy, located in the mountains of China.
The passageway connecting the training hall to the meditation garden can be blocked by deploying walls placed throughout the map.
The battlefield conditions change even during a round.
Key features of the new “Summit” map include…
- Two sites
- A 3-lane layout
- Deployable walls at three locations: Site A, Site B, and Mid (Deploying a wall blocks lines of sight and movement paths until the round ends)

The new map will be available in Competitive Queue immediately upon release.
During the first two weeks after its implementation at the Summit, RR loss from defeats will be reduced by 50%, while victories will grant 100% RR.
This allows you to focus on experiencing and practicing the map in a competitive environment without worrying about rank drops.
Additionally, a Summit-exclusive queue will be available for 7 days.
Summit-exclusive matches will use the Swift Play mode format.
The round-based 3v3 mode “Retake” is here!
Act 4 introduces “Retake,” a fast-paced, round-based 3v3 mode that lets you easily enjoy the back-and-forth action after the Spike is planted!
Matches begin with the Spike already planted; one team defends the site, while the other aims to retake it and defuse the Spike.
Teams switch between offense and defense each round, and randomized loadouts change as the match progresses, allowing you to enjoy new tactics with a fresh perspective.
