We got an early hands-on look at this highly anticipated game! Please note that the following game screens are from a version currently under development.
The Latest Title Where Sanrio Characters Sing and Dance: Sanrio Kawaii Me Live!
Sanrio surprise-announced the dance and rhythm game, Sanrio Kawaii Me Live!, during the 2026 Sanrio Character Ranking results stage. Tap the screen to the rhythm to pump up the ultra-KAWAII stage along with the Sanrio characters.
Following the announcement, hands-on demos also became available in the Sanrio Games area. Let's dive right in and play!
The main visual, featuring Sanrio characters like Hello Kitty, My Melody, and Pompompurin forming a band, is already incredibly cute.

The game is scheduled to include numerous tracks, such as songs from the highly popular Sanrio Puroland parades and tracks that are trending on social media. In this hands-on demo, we were able to play the seven songs listed above.

In this game, you can enjoy each song by choosing between two mode variations. "Technical Mode" features a classic rhythm game style where notes flow down four lanes.

Sliding left and right, holding down long notes—it offers a genuinely satisfying challenge that demands solid rhythm game experience.
Live Show Failed...! While you definitely want to enjoy the cute singing and dancing of the Sanrio characters, it's hard to watch them when you're frantically focusing on the gameplay.
...And for players facing that dilemma, the game offers another mode variation: "Performance Mode."

While we could only play the live shows during this hands-on demo, we confirmed that each character has unique parameters and skills.
In the full release, players can upgrade their Sanrio characters and change their outfits. Both songs and outfits have specific attributes, making stage outfits vital for achieving high scores. Let's focus on training each character and improving our own skills to aim for those high scores!
