Nintendo has announced multiple events themed around Animal Crossing: New Horizons in Hokkaido.
Travelers can enjoy three unique projects spanning from New Chitose Airport to downtown Sapporo.

The lineup features a collaborative stamp rally with JR Hokkaido, a pop-up event at New Chitose Airport, and a limited-time Nintendo POP-UP STORE in Sapporo.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons × JR Hokkaido Clickety-Clack Train Stamp Rally
Nintendo TopicsThis project invites participants to travel around 13 stations in the Central Hokkaido area, centered around Sapporo Station, to collect character stamps.
Each designated station will feature panels and posters of different residents.
- Stamp Station Locations: Sapporo Station, Naebo Station, Shiroishi Station, Shinrin-Kōen Station, Nopporo Station, Sōen Station, Shinkotoni Station, Eniwa Station, New Chitose Airport Station, Tomakomai Station, Otaru-Chikkō Station, Teine Station, and Hassamu Station
- Event Period: Friday, July 17, 2026 – Monday, October 12, 2026 (National Holiday)
Depending on the number of stamps collected, participants can enter a raffle to win exclusive items.
Nintendo will release details regarding the prizes around mid-July 2026.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Designed Trains Also in Operation
During the stamp rally period, one trainset of the "Rapid Airport" service operating between New Chitose Airport and Sapporo will feature an Animal Crossing: New Horizons design.

Hokkaido Airport-Island Pop-Up Event at New Chitose Airport
Nintendo TopicsA pop-up shop will open at New Chitose Airport, selling exclusive items inspired by the airport and more.
The venue will feature photo spots that make visitors feel as though they have visited Dodo Airlines or the island itself.

The shop will feature a special theme called "Animal Crossing: Daimaru Depart-Island," allowing visitors to shop among decorations inspired by the world of Animal Crossing: New Horizons.

At the special venue on the 1st floor of the Daimaru Sapporo store, a Dodo Airlines airplane balloon and various characters will greet visitors.
The 7th floor exhibition hall will feature decorations inspired by Timmy & Tommy's "Nook's Cranny" and Kapp'n's family's "resort hotel," alongside a capsule toy corner modeled after trees from the game.
In addition to official merchandise from Super Mario, The Legend of Zelda, Splatoon, and Pikmin, the Nintendo POP-UP STORE in SAPPORO will sell new Animal Crossing related products.

Customers who purchase a Nintendo Switch 2 console or Animal Crossing products for 3,300 yen (tax included) or more at select retailers in Hokkaido will receive an acrylic keychain.
