Losers Side

The lineup features prominent figures such as EVO Japan 2023 champion Gamera and EVO Japan 2025 champion KASAUSAGI.

Winners Semifinal: Zangief_Dream (Cagliostro) vs. Gamera (Ilsa)

The first match of the TOP 8 was a showdown between Japanese players.
Gamera demonstrated mastery over Ilsa, despite her having been unlocked only about a month before the tournament, and both players showed equal footing in their neutral game. However, in the very end, Zangief_Dream showcased his signature aggressive play.
Zangief_Dream won 3-1.

Winners Semifinal: Kojicoco (Beatrix) vs. KASAUSAGI (Ferry)

A matchup between the close-range character Beatrix and the long-range character Ferry.
In this set, both players fully displayed high-level techniques such as whiff punishing and mind games, as well as reaction speeds, leading to a close battle that went to a full set.
The final decision went to Kojicoco, who completely read the offense of KASAUSAGI, who had played aggressively during a chance opportunity.
Kojicoco won 3-2.

Losers Round 1: JF (Vaseraga) vs. Pixi (Lowain)

The characteristic offense-specialized movement of JF exploded.
He overwhelmed Pixi's Lowain, who specializes in tricky movements, with sheer power, and JF won 3-0.

Losers Round 1: USAGI (Grimnir) vs. Shio (Siegfried, Lowain)

In the battles leading up to Day 2, Shio had used Lowain in almost every match.
However, in the first game, he unexpectedly chose Siegfried.
He showcased a playstyle perfectly aimed at USAGI, but USAGI showed even greater adaptability and took the first set.
Shio switched his character to Lowain starting from the second set.
He put everything into his own practice, but even so, he could not stop USAGI's momentum, and USAGI won 3-0.

Losers Round 2: KASAUSAGI (Ferry) vs. JF (Vaseraga)

Ferry, who is good at long-range attacks, versus the heavyweight Vaseraga.
For anyone who plays fighting games, this matchup is one that might make you feel suffocated just by describing it.
However, the actual match content was overwhelming, embodying Vaseraga's line, "I won't be stopped!"
JF won 3-0.

Losers Round 2: Gamera (Ilsa) vs. USAGI (Grimnir, Lowain)

From the first set, Gamera overwhelmed the opponent by forcing close-range mind games.
By the time Gamera had taken two sets, USAGI brought out Lowain as if it were a secret weapon, but Gamera's tempo did not break.
In a surprising 3-0, Gamera won.

Winners Final: Zangief_Dream (Cagliostro) vs. Kojicoco (Beatrix)

Kojicoco fully demonstrated his signature adaptability.
He took the first set without allowing Zangief_Dream to enter his preferred flow.
However, as Zangief_Dream continued to attack without hesitation using his innate mental strength, the tide gradually turned.
Ultimately, Zangief_Dream won 3-1.
He puts himself at match point for the championship.

Losers Semifinal: JF (Vaseraga) vs. Gamera (Ilsa)

The momentum JF showed in the match against KASAUSAGI did not stop here either.
He took the first set with power play that forcibly pushed aside even Gamera's chance opportunities.
However, Gamera gradually adapted to JF's movements.
The tide changed bit by bit, and ultimately, Gamera won 3-1.

Losers Final: Kojicoco (Belial) vs. Gamera (Ilsa)

Kojicoco, who had been using Beatrix until now, brought in Belial.
Belial's characteristic rich offensive options combined with Kojicoco's spacing ability allowed him to demonstrate overwhelming skill.
Gamera could not keep up with this, and in a surprising 3-0, Kojicoco won.
An opportunity for a rematch against Zangief_Dream, to whom he had once lost, arrives for Kojicoco.

Grand Final: Zangief_Dream (Cagliostro) vs. Kojicoco (Belial)

Unlike in the Winners Final where he used Beatrix, Kojicoco challenged Zangief_Dream with Belial.
First, in the 1st set, Kojicoco once again demonstrated his signature adaptability, just like in the Winners Final.
Similar to the Winners Final, he took the first set without letting Zangief_Dream enter his preferred flow.
However, Zangief_Dream's mental strength remained intact. He continued to attack without hesitation this time as well.
As a result, it became a cycle of counter-strategies against counter-strategies. It was an offense and defense so intense that even viewers were holding their breath.
What struck the deciding blow in this heated battle was Zangief_Dream's guts.
He stacked up rounds with split-second actions when it mattered most, and ultimately, Zangief_Dream won 3-1!
He brilliantly seized the Dream just as his name suggests!
