Details of "Evo 2022" were recently announced on the official Twitter r(@EVO)and the news that the Super Smash Bros. series would not be appear at EVO 2022, causing a buzz in many ways even before the event opens.
All eyes are on what titles will become the tournament titles, and now the EVO 2022 Announcement Show is available on Evo's official Twitch!
Tournament titles for Evo 2022 are now available!

Nine titles announced, including familiar and new titles!
Following are the tournament titles for Evo 2022
- STREET FIGHTER V CHAMPION EDITION
- GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-
- Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate
- TEKKEN 7
- THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV
- MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA
- Dragon Ball FighterZ
- Granblue Fantasy Versus
- SKULLGIRLS 2ND ENCORE
The well-known STREET FIGHTER V CHAMPION EDITION and Tekken 7 are still on the list.
Additionally, GUILTY GEAR -STRIVE-, Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, Dragon Ball FighterZ, Granblue Fantasy Versus, and SKULLGIRLS 2ND ENCORE, which were adopted for the Community Series tournament held online last year, continued to be featured this year.
THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV, which was just released in February 2022, and MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA, which was released in September 2021, not even six months ago, are selected for the first time!
I had a feeling that "THE KING OF FIGHTERS XV" would be chosen, but the inclusion of "MELTY BLOOD: TYPE LUMINA" is a pleasant surprise.
And this year's Evo 2022, as announced, will be held offline at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas from August 5, 2022, to August 7, 2022, local time!
