In the vast world map of this title, which is composed of multiple seamlessly connected areas, various means of transportation appear, such as riding Chocobos familiar from the Final Fantasy series, or riding buggies and wheelies.
Chocobos have different abilities for each area, such as riding jet streams or climbing over mushroom footholds, aiding the adventure with skills adapted to each terrain.

In the fields appearing in this work, exploration elements such as World Intel, Odd Jobs, and Sanctuaries were also revealed.
In World Intel, you can investigate the world by challenging powerful enemies or catching Chocobos, and in Odd Jobs, you can delve deeper into the world-building and characters.

Prior to the release on Thursday, February 29, 2024, the FINAL FANTASY VII REBIRTH demo version became available starting Wednesday, February 7, 2024.
In the demo version, you can experience the Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim arc, where you control Cloud and Sephiroth and reminisce about the story of the past.
Also, starting Wednesday, February 21, 2024, the Dawn of a New Era in Junon arc, where you can explore part of the vast field, will be released as an additional demo.
If you have save data from the demo version, you can receive the in-game item Kupo Charm & Survival Set in the retail version, and if you clear the Fall of a Hero in Nibelheim in the demo version, you can skip it in the retail version.
