Danganronpa Team Reveals Brand-New Adventure Title “HUNDRED LINE – Last Defense Academy –,” Coming Early 2025

The creators behind “Danganronpa” have announced a brand-new adventure title built around themes of extremity and despair. The game, titled HUNDRED LINE - Last Defense Academy -, will be released by Aniplex in early 2025.

The newly revealed “HUNDRED LINE - Last Defense Academy -” was showcased during “Nintendo Direct 2024.6.18,” offering a first look at its setting, story, and cast of distinctive characters. The title marks a fresh chapter from the team behind the hit series “Danganronpa.”

Story

Takumi Sumino lives a peaceful, ordinary life with his family and childhood friends in a place known as the “Tokyo Residential Complex.”
That routine is shattered when mysterious invaders suddenly strike the city.

As Takumi flees in a panic and is about to be attacked, a strange mascot character—calling itself the “Sirei”—appears out of nowhere and saves him.
Takumi is then forcibly “transferred” to a mysterious institution: the Last Defense Academy.

Fifteen selected students are gathered there and given one mission: survive 100 days while defending the academy from an enemy known as the Invaders.
With the school wrapped in mystery and the threat of inevitable casualties, a tense 100-day battle for survival begins—one that may be the only way to reclaim their everyday lives.

Adventure Gameplay: Characters and Mystery

Players will meet a wide range of unique characters throughout their school life.
The academy is home to numerous facilities, and more features will unlock as days progress and exploration continues.

HUNDRED LINE - Last Defense Academy - is scheduled to release on Nintendo Switch and Steam in early 2025.
