"The Encyclopedia of Pityful Creatures" × "DQM4" Collaboration Announced! The "Encyclopedia of Pityful Creatures," Sure to Make You Chuckle, Is Now Available

Takahashi Shoten’s“Encyclopedia of Disappointing Creatures ” and “Dragon Quest Monsters 4: Bianca and Flora of the Land of Dead Trees ” (hereinafter “DQM4”) are teaming up for an official collaboration project, “Encyclopedia of Disappointing Living Things,” which will be released in stages starting Friday, October 23, 2026!
The project will showcase the “slightly disappointing” behaviors of the monsters that appear in the game.

The “Encyclopedia of Unfortunate Creatures” series presents the “slightly unfortunate” habits of the monsters appearing in the game—habits that will make you chuckle—from a perspective reminiscent of the original series.
You’ll get to enjoy the unknown sides of these monsters, who try their hardest but are somehow clumsy and endearing.

Monster traits will be revealed sequentially on the official X account

The “Encyclopedia of Unfortunate Creatures” will be released sequentially on the official Dragon Quest PR X account ( @DQ_PR ).
