The " Pokémon Japan Championships 2025 (PJCS2025)" game division will be held! The battle to determine the "Pokémon Scarlet Violet" Double Battle Champion will begin as early as Friday, January 31, 2025!

The outline of the "PJCS2025" Game Division, the battle to determine the best Pokémon battle in Japan, has been announced. The top players who win the Internet qualifiers and the main tournament will be awarded the right to participate in the finals of the live "PJCS2025" Game Division.

The PJCS2025 categories are

• Junior Category: Born after 2013
• Senior Category: born after 2009 and before 2012
• Master Category: Born before 2008

There are three categories. In the "Pokémon Japan Championships 2025 Preliminary Rounds," a pre-entry Internet tournament that will be held four times from January to April 2025, the top 120 players in each category will be given the right to participate in the main tournament. The top 64 players in each category in the "Pokémon Japan Championships 2025 Main Draw" on Sunday, May 11, 2025, will advance to the finals of the "Pokémon Japan Championships 2025" live competition in the Game Division. The best Pokémon player in Japan will be decided.

Participation Conditions and Notes

• The region and category of participation will depend on the settings in the Battle Stadium.
• ［Only players whose region setting in Battle Stadium is "Japan" will be eligible to participate in the "PJCS2025" Game Division.
• Only one user per Nintendo account can participate.
• If you are playing both "Pokémon Scarlett and Violet" on one Nintendo account, you can only enter with one of them.
• Only one invitation to the PJCS 2025 will be granted to the top finisher per Nintendo account.
• If an individual uses multiple Nintendo accounts to participate in the tournament, it will be considered a violation of the fairness of the tournament and penalties will be imposed at any time.
• When participating in the "PJCS2025" finals, players will be required to check their personal identification information against their region and category (age group) set up in the "Battle Stadium" during the preliminary and main rounds of the Internet tournament at the registration desk on the day of the tournament. If the information in the game does not match the information on the identification documents, the player will be disqualified from participation on the spot.
• Only players whose country of residence is "Japan" are eligible to participate.
