The battle to determine the Double Battle champion of "Pokémon Scarlet and Violet" will begin as early as Friday, January 31, 2025!

"Pokémon Japan Championships 2025" Game Division Overview Page

The overview of the "PJCS2025" Game Division, the battle to decide Japan's best Pokémon player, has been announced.
Top players who make it through the online qualifiers and the main competition will earn the right to participate in the finals of the live event, the "PJCS2025" Game Division.

The participation categories for "PJCS2025" are:

  • Junior Category: Born in 2013 or later
  • Senior Category: Born between 2009 and 2012
  • Master Category: Born in 2008 or earlier

In the "Pokémon Japan Championships 2025 Qualifiers," a pre-entry online competition held four times from January to April 2025, the top 120 players in each category will be granted entry to the main competition.
Then, the players who remain in the top 64 of each category in the "Pokémon Japan Championships 2025 Main Competition" on Sunday, May 11, 2025, will advance to the "Pokémon Japan Championships 2025" Game Division Finals at the live event.
Japan's best Pokémon player will be decided there.

Participation Conditions and Important Notes

  • Region and participation category will be based on settings in [Battle Stadium].
  • Only those with [Battle Stadium] region set to "Japan" are eligible for "PJCS2025" Game Division entry.
  • Only one user can participate per Nintendo Account.
  • If you play both "Pokémon Scarlet" and "Pokémon Violet" with one Nintendo Account, you can only enter with one of the games.
  • Only one "PJCS2025" invitation right will be granted per Nintendo Account for top finishers.
  • If an individual participates using multiple Nintendo Accounts, it will be considered an act that obstructs fair tournament operation, and penalties will be imposed at any time.
  • When participating in the "PJCS2025" Finals, at the reception desk on the day of the event, it is necessary to verify the player's participation region and participation category (age division) set in [Battle Stadium] during the online qualifiers and main competition, and the information on the player's own identification document. If the in-game settings do not match the identification document, participation will be denied on the spot.
  • Limited to residents of Japan.
