TGS2024 Announcement Presentation
The TGS2024 announcement presentation was held on Thursday, February 29, 2024.
As previously mentioned, TGS2024 will take place over four days from Thursday, September 26, to Sunday, September 29, 2024.
September 26 and 27 are Business Days, while September 28 and 29 are Public Days.
Doors generally open at 10:00 AM and close at 5:00 PM. However, please note that on the final day, Sunday, September 29, 2024, both opening and closing times will be moved 30 minutes earlier.
Tokyo Game Show 2023 Results
Last year's Tokyo Game Show 2023 saw 243,238 visitors—nearly double the previous year—thanks to the full use of Makuhari Messe for the first time in four years, the return of the cosplay area, and relaxed ticket sales.
Reporting from the floor, the excitement and energy of the pre-pandemic era were clearly palpable.
The event recorded 787 exhibitors, 2,682 booths, and 2,291 titles, all of which were record highs.
In surveys, over 80% of respondents stated they wanted to visit again, proving that Tokyo Game Show has made a complete comeback.
Expectations are high for even further expansion this year.

Full Use of Makuhari Messe Again This Year
TGS2024 will continue to utilize the entire Makuhari Messe.
Certain areas, such as the Family Game Park and Gaming Lifestyle zones, will be relocated.
Furthermore, limits on the number of exhibitors will be implemented for each area to alleviate congestion.
While clustering large booths reduces travel distance, it also creates massive crowds, so these adjustments are a welcome change.
TGSVR Renamed to TOKYO GAME SHOW Digital World
For those unable to visit Makuhari Messe, digital content allowing users to enjoy the unique Tokyo Game Show experience via smartphones or VR devices will return in 2024 as TOKYO GAME SHOW Digital World.
Featuring original booths and content achievable only in a virtual space, TOKYO GAME SHOW Digital World is scheduled to run from Friday, September 20, to Sunday, October 6, 2024, covering the dates before and after the main TGS2024 event.

Tickets Go on Sale Starting in Mid-July
