The largest game festival in Japan, "Tokyo Game Show 2024" (hereafter referred to as TGS2024), was held from Thursday, September 26 to Sunday, September 29, 2024.
At TGS2024, many booths were decorated with flashy designs, but the "SNK" booth stood out in particular!
At the SNK booth, there were trial play sessions and events for the latest title in the series, Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves (hereafter referred to as Fatal Fury: CotW), which is scheduled for release in April 2025, as well as special tournaments for KOF XV and SAMURAI SHODOWN.
In addition to the trial play sessions for Fatal Fury: CotW, a cosplay event was held, and the quality of the cosplayers was so high that there was a long line at all times!
Here, we'll report on what the SNK booth was like!

We've arrived at the SNK booth!
Upon visiting the SNK booth, we were greeted by a photo spot for the exhibited Fatal Fury: CotW!

The Fatal Fury: CotW original can badges you could get by meeting certain conditions were already out of stock.

An Undercover Mission to the VIP Area!
Passing by the trial play area, we went up the stairs to find a couch and a large TV screen!
This time, we got to go undercover in the "VIP Room" above the trial play area!
The VIP room was entirely Fatal Fury themed, making it a space fans would love.
The lighting had a nice, dimly lit atmosphere, creating a special mood.
This corner also evoked the image of a living room, so we could see the organizers' idea was to have even non-hardcore gamers play this game! (Maybe, maybe not?)
When we sat down on the sofa, there were welcome Happy Turn and Red Bull!
They had original packaging with Fatal Fury characters printed on them! We had no choice but to save them!
But why Happy Turn?
We wondered if SNK's Prince Muhammad liked them? Putting the Red Bull and Happy Turn into our TGS-tired bodies made us incredibly happy!
There were also past illustrations from the Fatal Fury series!
This is something fans would rejoice over without a doubt!
We were able to enjoy ourselves while reminiscing about our memories of the time!

In this trial session, you could try playing as five characters: Rock, Terry, Preecha, Vox, and the newly playable "Mai Shiranui"!
Reika and Ruipoyo from Saiga NAK Girls, who have only really played fighting games like Super Smash Bros., faced off.
It was a very peaceful world-line of a play session.
We hope this is the opportunity for them to go on a journey to train in Fatal Fury!
And Kiyoki, who is supposed to be a chef YouTuber, was strangely skillful.
He overwhelmed the photographer Renachin and actually got a K.O.!
A Photo Session with Cosplayers Was Also Held!
At the SNK booth, in addition to the trial play sessions, a photo session with cosplayers was also held.
Five cosplayers, dressed as different characters, appeared at the photo session!
The quality was so high that it felt as if the Fatal Fury characters were actually right in front of us!

The new Fatal Fury game we tried, "Fatal Fury: CotW," is scheduled for release on Thursday, April 24, 2025!
