Tokyo Game Show 2026 is underway for a five-day run from Thursday, September 17 through Monday, September 21, 2026.
In this report, we visit the Canon booth, showcasing its live streaming app, Live Switcher Mobile!
Canon Booth Report: Testing an App That Customizes Game Streams Using Only a Smartphone
The first thing catching visitors' eyes is Live Switcher Mobile, a live streaming app that lets users customize broadcast screen layouts directly from a smartphone.
With this app, even streaming newcomers can set up clean, viewer-friendly layouts.
Users can intuitively combine gameplay screens, camera overlays, on-screen text banners, and chat comments.
The booth also featured dedicated areas demonstrating real-world game streaming setups.
Because visitors can test out the stream layout hands-on, we gave it a try.
We easily repositioned camera overlays and added text banners in seconds.
It is a remarkably beginner-friendly tool for streaming.
With numerous layout samples on display throughout the booth, the extensive degree of customization stands out as a major highlight.
Next to the streaming demo zone, we spotted a capsule toy machine that visitors can turn after answering a quick questionnaire.
The giveaway features four prize variations:
- Live Switcher Mobile 3-Month Paid Plan Trial Voucher: 500 winners
- Anker USB-C Hub: 10 winners
- Canon Miniature Camera: 200 winners
- Kao Bub Bath Tablets: 3,000 winners
I decided to try spinning the machine myself, eager to see what would come out.
After answering the questionnaire, the staff handed over a coin.
After inserting the coin into the slot, I turned the dial...
A yellow capsule rolled out!
Time to open it!
I won a Bub bath tablet!
This should be perfect for soothing any fatigue from walking around Tokyo Game Show.
That concludes our report from the Canon booth at TGS2026!
