ASUS will also work on future NUC system development
ASUS reported that it has completed an official signing ceremony to mark the takeover of Intel's NUC product line. It was also revealed that the ASUS NUC division has already been joined by members of Intel's NUC division.
ASUS is licensed by Intel for both hardware system design and software, and the company also announced that it will be developing new NUC systems in addition to manufacturing and selling the 10th to 13th generation of NUCs. The company also emphasized repeatedly that it will support a seamless transition for current NUC users.
Comments from Jackie Hsu, ASUS Senior Vice President
We are confident that this collaboration will strengthen and accelerate our mini-PC vision. The addition of the Intel NUC product line to our portfolio will expand ASUS' AI and IoT R&D capabilities and technology solutions, especially in three key markets: industrial, commercial and prosumer.
Michelle Johnston Holthaus, Intel Senior Vice President and General Manager of Client Computing Group Operations, commented
This is an exciting time for both Intel and ASUS as the NUC story moves into its next chapter. Today's signing ceremony represents more than just a business deal, it also demonstrates ASUS' dedication to improving the lives of NUC users and partners worldwide. We look forward to seeing NUC grow as part of the ASUS family.
