Konami Digital Entertainment Co., Ltd. announced the birth of the first high school professional player from its KONAMI e-Sports Academy. Loid will join the professional e-sports team "TEQWING e-Sports".

KONAMI eSports Academy is one of the educational projects undertaken by Konami Digital Entertainment Co. It was established in March 2023 and also announced the conversion of the business to a three-year program starting with students entering the school in 2025.
KONAMI eSports Academy has produced its first professional high school student athlete! Musashi Hirabayashi, aka Loid, has signed a professional contract with the Fortnite division of the professional e-sports team TEQWING e-Sports. Loid joined the school in 2022 and was accepted in a joint tryout held in 2023. He has been a trainee until March 2024 and signed a formal professional contract this spring.

Mao*mao (@mao0504_ ) is scheduled to participate as a guest at the KONAMI eSports Academy Open School on Sunday, May 12, 2024. The school will be open to a maximum of 40 participants and will include an information session, a talk session with Mao*mao, and a "Fortnite" play event.
