Monster Hunter Now (MonHunNow), a location-based game jointly developed by Niantic and CAPCOM, released the first installment of its summer update , "Bubbling Storm Banquet," on Thursday, June 13, 2024! Finally, the long-awaited old dragon species " Kushaldaora " has entered the game!

MonHunNow" has been regularly updated since September 2023, adding new monsters and weapon types, and captivating the hearts of hunters. The first "MonHunNow" summer update, "Bubbly Banquet with Storm," will be released on June 13, 2024 (Thursday )! The highlight of the update will be the first new dragon species, "Kushaldaora"!

Kushaldaora, the steel dragon that appears out of nowhere with a violent storm, makes its first appearance in "MonHunNow"! The new element "Koryu Intercept Battle" will be held at specific points in the field and is open to all players with HR11 or above. Unlike normal hunting, you can earn rewards by defeating the dragon, and you can also get rewards by reducing its health to a certain level.

Weapons that can be produced from the materials of the dragons acquired in the "dragon interceptor battle" have the "Hunter's Unity" skill attached to them, which increases the damage they deal depending on the number of people who have the same skill activated. The effect of this skill is expected since it is a proof that the old dragon, a natural disaster for the people, has been defeated! We need to cooperate with our friends more than ever before!

New Monsters "Furfur" and "Basalmos

Kushaldaora is not the only new monster! Furfur, the monstrous dragon, and Basalmoth, the rock dragon, will be joining "MonHunNow"!

MonHunNow" has been adding monsters based on the world of "Monster Hunter: World," such as Radovalkin, Buffbarro, and Odogaron. However, with this update, the precedent has been broken, and Furfur and Basalmoth have been added to the game! Those who were pessimistic about the possibility of not being able to find their favorite monsters because they are world-based can now rest easy. We can look forward to more monsters being added every month in the future!

New weapon type "Gunlance

A new weapon type, the "Gunlance," has finally been implemented! As a counterpart to the "Lance" that will be released in December 2023, a niche weapon favored by experts is now available in "MonHunNow".

It is characterized by its strong defensive capabilities and explosive damage from gunfire. The SP skill "[SP] Dragon Gun" delivers a powerful bombardment using the best technology available.

In the "Monster Hunter" series, the "Gunlance" is known to be particularly effective against hard-fleshed monsters !

New "Friend Quest" element

A new element, "Friend Quests," has been added in this update. Friend Quests are a feature that allows players to challenge quests together with their friends in order to achieve goals such as total monster kills. The quests are distributed every Thursday at 9:00 a.m. Japan time, and only one quest can be participated in per week. Up to four people can participate in a single quest and complete it up to five times! Let's cooperate together with your hunting friends to earn a large amount of rewards!

Plans for the 1st anniversary are also open to the public!

MonHunNow" will celebrate its first anniversary in September 2024. The roadmap released in May 2024 also clearly states that more monsters will be added in July and August 2024. One of them is a sea dragon species. Further updates will continue in the fall and winter!
