Nintendo has released a demo for the Nintendo Switch game, Rhythm Heaven Groove (Rhythm Paradise Groove in PAL regions), which launches on Thursday, July 2, 2026. Along with this, Nintendo also released a long version of the TV commercial featuring Kamaitachi playing the game.
Demo for Nintendo Switch Game Rhythm Heaven Groove Now Available!
The demo for the Nintendo Switch game, Rhythm Heaven Groove, is now available on the Nintendo Store and Nintendo eShop. In the demo, you can play a total of five rhythm games. You can play the first five solo rhythm games in Solo mode, and the rhythm tweezer game in multiplayer mode.
The rhythm games included in Stage 1 are as follows:
- Hoop Jump
- Parasol
- Flying Disc
- Feed That Thing
- Remix 1 (The above four variations appear mixed together)
Hoop Jump
The controls are simple: just press the A Button. Listen for the "Pa-Pi-Pu-Pe-Po" cue and jump at the timing of "Po" to clear the stage. Each rhythm game features a practice session, where holding down the Y Button allows you to check the correct pattern. Note that the Remix starts the actual game immediately without a practice session.
Multiplayer Demo
This is a cooperative multiplayer rhythm game for up to four players. Memorize the rhythm of the hair growing, then press the button to mimic it. The key is to use both hands during fast-paced moments. If someone fails, other players can attempt the same rhythm to save them.
You can carry over save data from the demo to the full version. If you clear Stage 1 in the demo, you can start from Stage 2 in the full version. The full version includes over 80 variations of brand-new single-player rhythm games and over 30 variations of rhythm games where up to four players can cooperate or compete. Additionally, the game includes a special mode called Beat Spell, which becomes playable as you progress through the single-player rhythm games.
Long Version of TV Commercial Featuring Kamaitachi Released
Nintendo released a long version of the TV commercial featuring Kamaitachi playing the game. It shows them playing the kitchen rhythm game from Solo Mode, the snack rhythm game from Multiplayer Mode, and a high-difficulty version of the rhythm tweezer game included in the demo. There are three variations of the videos for both the main TV commercial and the long version, which you can check out on the "Nintendo Official Channel" on YouTube.
