SEGA and Thailand's C.P. Group Sign Basic Agreement to Explore Collaboration in the Entertainment Field in Thailand and ASEAN Region

(" SEGA ") and Charoen Pokphand Group Company Limited ("C.P. Group"), the largest conglomerate in Thailand, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (" MOU ") to explore opportunities for collaboration in the entertainment field in Thailand and its surrounding areas. The Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed with Charoen Pokphand Group Company Limited ("C.P. Group"), a Thai entertainment company.

C.P. Group is the largest conglomerate in Thailand. The C.P. Group operates in 23 countries and regions in a wide range of business areas including food, agriculture, retail, consumer goods, telecommunications, and multimedia networks.

SEGA has signed a basic agreement with this C.P. Group. The purpose is to create a framework to study opportunities for collaboration in the entertainment sector in Thailand and the ASEAN region, as well as to explore the possibility of a phased commercialization.

The Memorandum of Understanding contemplates that the collaboration study will be pursued in multiple phases. In the initial phase, the companies will study business development utilizing global IP such asSonic andAngry Birds, as well as the establishment of a cooperative structure with a view to sustainable growth. In addition, the two companies will combine SEGA's IP and content creation capabilities with the C.P. Group's broad business ecosystem to provide new, locally-oriented entertainment.
