SEGA announced that "SpongeBob" will join "Sonic Racing: Cross Worlds," a new racing game scheduled for release on Thursday, September 25, 2025.
This title will be available on PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam/Epic Games Store).

This announcement revealed that "SpongeBob" and "Patrick" from the animated series "SpongeBob SquarePants" will appear as the second DLC pack in the Season Pass included with the Digital Deluxe Edition.
Additionally, a stage modeled after the familiar city of "BiKiNi BOTTOM" from the series and the hamburger-shaped vehicle "Patty Wagon" will also be featured.
Furthermore, future DLCs are planned to include collaborations with "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and "Avatar Legends."
Cross-Platform Compatible Racing Action
"Sonic Racing: Cross Worlds" is an all-star racing game where characters from SEGA titles, including the Sonic series, come together.
It supports online multiplayer for up to 12 players and features cross-platform play, allowing matchmaking between different platforms.
"Sonic Racing: Cross Worlds" is Scheduled for Release on Thursday, September 25, 2025!
The release date is Thursday, September 25, 2025 (Friday, September 26 for the PC version)!
A Nintendo Switch 2 version is also planned for a later release, with a paid upgrade option expected to be offered for Switch users.
