In a Splatfest, players vote for a faction promoted by one of the members of "Deep Cut" and compete against the others. Of course, you can participate with friends, and a sense of solidarity is fostered when a team of random players wins consecutive matches, which naturally increases the number of times players press "Nice!" for each other.

The biggest-ever "Splatoon 3" Splatfest, the "Grand Festival," is confirmed for Friday, September 13, 2024, at 9:00 AM JST to Monday, September 16, 2024, at 9:00 AM JST! Previous Splatfests were 48 hours long, but because this is the biggest Splatfest, it will be held for an extended period of 72 hours! The most important aspect of a Splatfest is the theme, and the theme for the "Grand Festival" will be "Which is the most important to you? Past vs. Present vs. Future!"
Of course, all of them are important, but the time to make a choice is fast approaching.
The path you have walked, the present before your eyes, the infinite possibilities that spread out—the choice of which to select is entrusted to all of you.
What one values most is a very difficult question. Although the event is still far off, let's keep it in the back of our minds.
Furthermore, it has been announced that each of the three factions will have a supporter for the "Grand Festival"!
The Past Team will be supported by "Squid Sisters," the Present Team by "Off the Hook," and the Future Team by "Deep Cut." This means the theme can also be described as "Squid Sisters vs. Off the Hook vs. Deep Cut" in addition to "Past vs. Present vs. Future."

New amiibo Featuring Their Appearance in This Title Are Scheduled for Release Before the Splatfest!
In conjunction with the "Grand Festival," the release of new amiibo for "Squid Sisters" and "Off the Hook" has been announced!
The Squid Sisters amiibo Set: Callie (Alterna)/Marie (Alterna) features Callie and Marie in their "New Squidbeak Splatoon" Agents 1 and 2 outfits, as they appear in the "Splatoon 3" Hero Mode.
The Off the Hook amiibo Set: Pearl (Side Order)/Marina (Side Order) is a new amiibo featuring Pearl and Marina in their appearance from the Expansion Pass's "Side Order."
By displaying these together with the already released "Deep Cut" amiibo, you can have the "Squid Sisters," "Off the Hook," and "Deep Cut" gathered in their respective appearances from this title!
