Republic of Gamers, the gaming brand of ASUS, announces the release of the ROG Strix XG32UQ gaming monitor. The "ROG Strix XG32UQ" is a gaming monitor with a 32" 4K UHD IPS display with a refresh rate of 160Hz and 1ms response time. The next generation gaming monitor, the ROG Strix XG32UQ, is scheduled to be released on December 2, 2022 (Friday).
4K gaming monitor supporting 160Hz and 1ms
The ROG Strix XG32UQ is a gaming monitor with next-generation gaming performance. It supports a refresh rate of 144Hz (overclocked to 160Hz) and a response time of 1ms, which is perfect for a gaming monitor. The monitor itself is equipped with a 32-inch 4K UHD (3840x2160) Fast IPS display, allowing users to enjoy games at 4K resolution.
The ROG Strix XG32UQ also comes with one DisplayPort 1.4 DSC standard for 4K 144Hz output and two HDMI (v2.1) standards, a terminal that can output 4K/120Hz. HDMI(v2.1) is a standard that matches home game consoles that can output 4K resolution and 120Hz, such as PlayStation5 and Xbox Series X, rather than for gaming PCs, and when combined with games that support 4K/120Hz, you can enjoy games with a smooth rendering. The ROG Strix XG is a 4K/120Hz output standard that matches home gaming consoles.
And the ROG Strix XG32UQ is DisplayHDR 600 compliant, boasting a contrast ratio of 6000:1. The higher the Display HDR standard, the higher the contrast ratio and the wider the color gamut that can be displayed. A wider color gamut means more realistic visual expression. This means that you can enjoy more realistic images when playing games or watching movies.

ROG Strix XG32UQ Matches Next-Generation Gaming
With the recent introduction of the RTX4080 and RTX4090, gaming PCs can now play games at a stable 4K/144Hz, and games that support 4K/120Hz are appearing one after another on home consoles such as the PlayStation5 and Xbox Series X.
We expect that 4K/144Hz gaming monitors will become the de facto standard and will become more and more popular. If you are planning to replace your monitor with a newer graphics card such as the RTX4090, or if you own a PlayStation5 or Xbox Series X, this is a good time to consider a new one.
