The optimal app for mountain climbing is "YamaReco."
With "YamaReco," you can import mountain climbing routes to your smartphone, and when you select your preferred route, it downloads the map for you!
And by installing "YamaReco" and the dedicated Amazfit app "Zepp," you can check mountain climbing routes from your "Amazfit T-Rex 3."
Step ① App Settings
- Install "YamaReco"
- Select "Plan a trip with YamaReco"
- Select the mountain to climb
- Decide the route on the map
- Fill in the necessary items for the mountain climbing plan and save
- Tap the map with the decided route in "My Plans"
- Download the GPX file
- Open the GPX file map from your app's files and share it to "Zepp"
(Note that the GPX file download location varies depending on your smartphone) - From "My Routes" in "Zepp," select "Send to Device"

Wearing the "Amazfit T-Rex 3," we headed to the trailhead from the nearest station to challenge mountain climbing, but something unexpected happened early on...
The stairs to the trailhead were too long.
Reika: "These are the stairs for the protagonist to train on, right?"
Saying that, we arrived at the trailhead.
Having been taken aback by the stairs, I was only worried about the upcoming climb.
Even after taking a short break to catch our breath...

At first, she was wearing a down jacket for full cold weather protection, but the full-body exercise made her comfortably warm.
And then a new accident occurred...

What stood in our way, who thought we were just hiking, was a large rock that made us think, "This is a cliff!"
The fallen leaves made it slippery, and small holes were hard to see, so we moved our feet carefully...
The nature was so vast that when we saw signboards and colored tapes as markers, we said, "Artificial objects are so comforting," and then we finally reached 1,000m!
After slipping on rocks and pushing through grass, what we saw ahead was...
Reika: "I can see the road!!!"
Yes, we finally reached a proper road.
Reika: "Now we can finally go back to hiking!"
But that was only for a moment...
Reika: "I'm off the route?!"
After carefully checking My Routes on the "Amazfit T-Rex 3," it was discovered that we were going in a different direction than the route!
When we looked for which way to go...
Reika: "Oh, it's that way..."
The direction indicated by the "Amazfit T-Rex 3" was a mountain climbing route full of fallen leaves, just like before, far from hiking.

After passing through the rugged mountain path, ropes finally appeared, and we descended the cliff.
And then to the target observation deck...
We finally reached the top! After overcoming many hardships, we saw a refreshing cityscape.
The clouds were closer than usual, and the sunlight streamed down in patches, creating a moving scene, and the cool wind felt pleasant.

This time, the "My Routes" feature, which allows for detailed map checking, helped us greatly, as an alarm sounds if you stray a certain distance from the route, so there's no "It was too late when I noticed!" situation.

If you download it, you can check your current location from your smartwatch while running or mountain climbing!
In addition to the surrounding map, water systems, green spaces, and contour lines are also displayed, making it easy to grasp your location while mountain climbing.

As expected, the bento after a hard effort was exceptionally delicious, and it was worth making it by hand.
I quickly devoured the rice balls and tamagoyaki, but next time I'd like to bring some warm soup too.
