I-O Data Device Booth Report! The Rumored New Product Was Also Exhibited! #TGS2024
Event

I-O Data Device, Inc. is a regular exhibitor at Tokyo Game Show 2024 (TGS2024), one of the world's largest gaming events.
The company, headquartered in Ishikawa Prefecture, is proactive in its efforts toward the gaming industry, including opening its facilities for esports events at its main office.
The gaming monitors from its gaming brand "GigaCrysta" have a high reputation, and new products were exhibited at this year's TGS2024.
Here is a report on the I-O Data Device booth!

The "LCD-GCQ271UD," scheduled for release in mid-October this year, is a 27-inch gaming monitor with a WQHD resolution and a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz.
While the specs alone may not seem unusual, this product is equipped with a unique feature.

Generally, the included monitor stands have limited movement and are often not very flexible, but the "LCD-GCQ271UD" can be adjusted to a very flexible angle.
This could be a huge plus for those who want to set up a dual monitor but have limited desk space.

Equipped with Focus Mode function, which can switch between 27-inch and 24-inch

This mode displays an optical illusion within a black frame, allowing you to concentrate on the 24-inch equivalent display area.
This feature was developed based on a research paper by Satoshi Nakamura, a full-time professor at Meiji University, and was completed with him as a technical advisor.

It is sold for 75,900 yen (tax included) on the I-O Data direct sales website, I-O Plaza.
If you're interested, be sure to pre-order!

While black is the de facto standard for monitors in recent years, there is also a demand for people who want to have all-white desks.
GigaCrysta's product lineup has mainly been black, but now a white-colored gaming monitor has finally made its appearance!

It's so... white...!
The all-white device corner was a luxurious booth where you could try out the HD-2D version of Dragon Quest 3.
While there was about an hour's wait at the Square Enix booth, there was almost no wait time here.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of GigaCrysta. The booth also had a signboard where visitors could write congratulatory messages for the 10th anniversary, and many celebrities left their signatures!
It feels like it just came out recently, but it's already been 10 years...! I am deeply moved!

A little something extra

Is this the I-O Data family treasure? A circuit board from an old product was on display.
They apparently brought it from the head office just for this TGS2024.

And that's it! This has been a report on the I-O Data Device TGS2024 booth!
