Game Freak Announces New Title, "Rain Then Sunny Girl"! A laundry game where weather information from across Japan affects gameplay; confirmed for TGS 2026

Game Freak has announced that it will release its new mobile game, " Rain Then Sunny Girl," for iOS and Android in the winter of 2026.
Pre-registration is now open on the app stores for each OS.
The game will also be showcased at " Tokyo Game Show 2026 " (hereinafter "TGS2026"), to be held at Makuhari Messe from Thursday, September 17, 2026, through Monday, September 21, 2026 (a national holiday).

Game Freak Announces New Title “Rain Then Sunny Girl”! A Laundry Game Where the Real-World Weather Syncs with the Game

"Rain Then Sunny Girls " is a brand-new mobile game from Game Freak, the studio behind the "Pokémon" series and other titles.
The story follows the " Sunny Girls "—girls who maintain normal weather and brighten people’s spirits—and their partners, the divine messengers " Kumorin," as they bring brightness and cheer to all of Japan.

The game’s most distinctive feature is its weather synchronization, which integrates high-precision meteorological data provided by Weathernews Inc. into the game system.
The in-game experience changes significantly depending on real-world weather conditions such as sunny, rainy, cloudy, or snowy.

The “Hare Girls,” who lead ordinary high school lives, transform into their “Hare Forms” by donning “Hare Outfits” with the help of their partner, Kumorin, and take on the forces causing extreme weather events.
The “Hare Outfits,” which get dirty after patrols and battles, are washed and cleaned to restore them to top condition, preparing them for the next patrol.

New Hare Girls and Kumorin Characters Revealed

A special booth will be featured at TGS 2026! The “Harejo Club” clubroom will be recreated

A special “Rain Then Harejo” booth will be featured at “TGS2026,” taking place at Makuhari Messe from Thursday, September 17, 2026, through Monday, September 21, 2026 (a national holiday).
In addition to an exhibition area recreating the “Harejo Club” room featured in the series, “Machine Centucky”—which appeared in the teaser PV —is also set to make an appearance.
