The Japan e-Sports Union (JeSU) has announced the addition of TOPPAN as an official sponsor. TOPPAN is the third official sponsor of JeSU, following Mouse Computer Inc. and Kowa Co.
TOPPAN, which has a history dating back to the Meiji era, has become an official sponsor of JeSU!
日本eスポーツ連合オフィシャルサイトJeSU was established in 2018 with the aim of promoting e-sports in Japan, improving competitiveness and spreading the sporting spirit to develop the nation's health, society and economy. In addition to engaging in various activities to promote e-sports, JeSU is a member of major international competition organizations such as the International eSports Federation, the World eSports Federation, and the Asian eSports Federation, and sends Japanese representative players to their respective competitions.
The International Olympic Committee (IOC) has announced that the "Olympic Esports Games" will be held in 2027, and e-sports is attracting worldwide attention these days. This has led to a growing interest in e-sports around the world, and more support is required for e-sports athletes aiming for international competitions.
The sponsorship by TOPPAN, a company with 120 years of history, at this time will not only improve the playing environment in Japan, but also raise the status of e-sports and make it better known to a wider audience. JeSU will continue to work on improving the status and environment of e-sports players as the central competition organization. All e-sports enthusiasts are encouraged to keep an eye on JeSU's future developments.
