SNK's masterpiece sword-fighting action game along with Samuspi
The "Gekka no Kenji" series is one of SNK's classic sword-fighting action games along with the "Samurai Shodown" series.
The first game in the Samuspi series was set in 1788, and subsequent games have been set in the years before and after that time, but "Gekka no Kenji" is set in the final days of the Tokugawa shogunate and makes use of the unique settings of the end of the Edo period, including the Shinsengumi.
"Bakumatsu Roman Special Edition: Gekka no Kenji - Tsuki ni Saku Hana, Hariyuku Hana" was released on the Neo Geo Pocket in March 2000, and is a fighting game featuring deformed versions of familiar characters from the Neo Geo Pocket.
The game is based on "Bakumatsu Romance Act II: Gekka no Kenji - Tsuki ni Saku Hana, Hariyuku Hana" (Bakumatsu Romance Act II: Swordsman of the Moon, Scattered Flowers).
There are also some specifications unique to the NeoPoke version, including two mini-games: "Houmuran Race" with Jyusan and " Jigokumon Dai E scape" with Shikagami (purple mirror).
On the Nintendo Switch, two players can play against each other in table mode or portable mode, so enjoy tense battles with family and friends!
"Bakumatsu Roman Special Edition Gekka no Kenji: Tsuki ni Saku Hana, Hariyuku Hana" will be available on October 29, 2020 (Thursday)! The price will be 800 yen (tax included).

A message video from SNK producer Oda has been released in conjunction with the distribution of "Bakumatsu Romance Act II: Gekka no Kenji - Tsuki ni Saku Hana, Hariyuku Hana"!
The video mainly focuses on the aforementioned "Bakumatsu Roman Special Edition: Gekka no Kenji - Tsuki ni Saku Hana, Hariyuku Hana", but there was also some exciting information!
Tapas Media, a leading digital publisher in the U.S., has started distributing a web comic of "THE LAST BLADE," the English version of Gekka no Kenji.
Currently, the webcomic is up to episode 4 and will be released one episode per week thereafter.

The story of the "Gekka no Kenji" series ended with the second act released in 1998.
