The AFEELA drove itself onto the stage. While Kawanishi explained that this was "just a demo feature," the display effectively demonstrated the potential of the vehicle's onboard software.
Developing a Virtual Simulator in Collaboration with Epic Games

Sony Honda Mobility and Epic Games announced their collaboration at CES 2023. At the CES 2024 press conference, they showcased their progress with a new simulator built in a virtual space. This simulator runs on Epic Games' Unreal Engine 5.3 and will support future updates.

AFEELA to Appear in Gran Turismo 7
Sony Honda Mobility also announced a collaboration with Polyphony Digital, the developer of the Gran Turismo series and a wholly-owned subsidiary of Sony Interactive Entertainment. The companies will cooperate on vehicle development, and the "AFEELA Prototype 2024" will arrive in a 2024 update for Gran Turismo 7.
