Details have been revealed about the multiple factions operating in the restricted area, the “ZONE,” which the player explores, and the highly flexible quest system.
The Drama of Survival as Depicted by Six Factions
In the Zone, the setting of this title, the player will face not only radiation and bizarre entities but also power struggles between humans. The people who venture into the Zone belong to factions with different beliefs and goals, and the story's development changes significantly depending on whether the player chooses to make them allies or enemies.
Six Major Factions
PR TIMES
Loner
Stalkers who operate alone and belong to no faction. Although solitary explorers, they sometimes band together temporarily to survive.
Bandit
A group of outlaws who control the Zone's underworld. They are hostile toward other factions, attacking rookie Stalkers and trading stolen supplies.
Mercenary
A trained group of mercenaries. They possess high-quality equipment and are a dangerous presence, boasting powerful combat capabilities if engaged in hostilities.
Duty
A large, disciplined faction composed of former military personnel. This is a major faction operating in the Zone.
Freedom
A liberal-minded organization that seeks to disclose information about the Zone to the world. They often clash with other factions.
Noontide
A newly introduced faction in this title. It is composed of those who were once freed from the Monolith's brainwashing.
Quest Choices Change the Story!
In addition to the main quests that advance the story, there are numerous side quests within the Zone. Even optional requests offer a chance to obtain rare rewards, making careful exploration and strategic choice essential.
To survive in the Zone, the player must discern the boundary between friend and foe and take responsibility for their own choices.
