The Grand Finals were held in a BO3 (Best of 3) format, where players used two pre-registered decks of different classes, and the first player to win two battles advanced.
The champion was determined through this high-pressure single-elimination format, where a single loss meant immediate elimination.
In this tournament, Akisu defeated Nyan-san in the first round and BCAD in the semifinals, both by a score of 2-1.
She then defeated Minchi 2-1 in the finals to claim the championship.

— Please tell us why you decided to participate in this RAGE “Shadowverse” event, which is being held in the Kansai region for the first time in eight years.
Akisu: I hadn’t been very proactive about traveling for tournaments in the past, but since I live in Northern Osaka, I thought, “If I don’t compete here, I might never play in an offline tournament again,” so I decided to participate.
I’m surprised myself that I was able to win my first offline tournament and my first Grand Finals.
― How did you spend the month leading up to the Grand Finals?
Akisu: The people I met at the qualifier venue—even though they’d been eliminated themselves—gave me such warm words of encouragement. To live up to their expectations, I practiced harder than ever before.
At one point, I pushed myself so hard that I actually considered withdrawing from the Grand Finals, but in the end, I shifted my mindset to, “I’ll just play as usual and enjoy this stage and Shadowverse.”
I think the fact that I was able to enjoy myself right up until the very end today is what led to my victory.
― How did you choose the deck you used in this tournament?
Akisu: I’m the type of player who, rather than building my own original deck, refers to match data from many players and chooses decks that have a high usage rate at that time.
I trust the collective wisdom of the player community over my own predictions of the meta, so this time I chose Witch and Nemesis.
Rather than spending time on deckbuilding, I prioritize improving my gameplay skills so I can master strong decks.
As a result, I think I was able to bring a combination that performed well in the current meta.
― Please share your thoughts on the “Shadowverse World Grand Prix 2026.”
Akisu: As a representative coming from Kansai RAGE, I do feel a certain amount of pressure, but I want to make sure I play my usual game at the world championship as well.
I’ll do my best while prioritizing the joy of playing the game above all else.
― Who is the first person you want to tell about winning this RAGE tournament?
Akisu: My parents.
When I told them I’d made it to the Grand Finals, the first thing they said wasn’t “Congratulations,” but “Hey, what about your taxes?” (laughs).
I haven’t told them about winning the championship yet, so when I get home, I’ll share the news and also ask for their advice on tax planning.
